TOILET FOR BABLI

We are in the 21st century and moving towards a state of being a developed nation from a developing nation. Our honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narenda Modi is campaigning for a 'Swash Bharat'. But how can we think of a swash or clean India without having proper toilets for all people? We have progressed a lot in the area of science and technology.  We have learnt to fly high like a Skylark and forgotten to look down. The ground realities, the basic needs people are deprived off will never allow India to be tagged as a Developed nation.
Development doesn't only mean progress in science and technology, in the field of education and research but also it means the basic requirements of human beings. Health and hygiene which always go together have been neglected quite a bit over the years. Toilets are not there in many rural parts of our country. As a result people defecate in open grounds, fields, etc. This not only leads to pollution but also to the total shame of the country. We have many Babli's in our country that faces this problem daily. A nation cannot rise and progress if it neglects the masses and these poor and neglected people constitute the 50% mass of our country. Toilet at homes means not only a clean and healthier environment but also keeping the dignity and respect of women intact. Defecating in the open fields is a matter of utter shame for the women in a household. Human excreta always have great numbers of germs which can also result in diarrhoea. Flies not only feed on the excreta but also carry a part of it in their body when it is done in the open air. Food and water get contaminated when these flies come in contact with them. Human beings on consumption of these foods fall ill. The condition worsens during rainy seasons when the rain water washes the excreta which can run into wells and streams contaminating water
A number of steps are being taken by the government. But it is not adequate. A healthy nation means a wealthy nation and so a healthy Babli means a wealthy Babli. Domex( http://www.domex.in/) is simply doing a wonderful job. And even we can be a part of this great job. You can bring about the change in the lives of millions of kids, thereby showing your support for the Domex Initiative. All you need to do is “click” on the “Contribute Tab” on www.domex.in and Domex will contribute Rs.5 on your behalf to eradicate open defecation, thereby helping kids like Babli live a dignified life. Is it not a big step for a better, cleaner and healthier India? Like Domex I hope other organizations will also extend their helping hands for the complete development of the nation and work in hand in hand for a brighter India.
